The city of Roethenbach

Small town and trade place at the gates of Nuremberg with about 12,000 inhabitants at present.

The oldest message about the place originates from the year 1311. The brook called Roethenbach, which rises at the city called Altdorf and flows at Roethenbach into the Pegnitz river, may have caused enterprising people to establish a mill on the bank. 1494 the building of a new powder and paper mill at the Roethenbach is reported.

At the end of the 19th century characterized by the enterprises Conradty and Diehl, a rapid ascent from the village to the industrial city took place, today supplemental via a multiplicity of medium-size enterprises.
